Michelle “Chelle” Brantley was born in Oakland, CA in 1969.  Chelle has no formal art education training and is a self-taught portrait artist.

Chelle is an emerging artist whose paintings have been exhibited in galleries and various other places of businesses in the city of California, California.  The exhibits mentioned are The Grand Oak Gallery, Captured Images Gallery, Lakeview Branch Oakland Public Library and Alameda County Medical Center all located in Oakland, California.

In addition, Chelle has been commissioned to paint many projects that are in private collections.  Halle Berry, Academy Award Winning actress, has some so Chelle’s work in her possession.

To date, Chelle has received a grant from the Artists’ Fellowship, Inc. in New York, New York; she is a member of the Richmond Art Center and is currently submitting her work in various competitions both nationally and internationally.
